Mixed Leaf (Orache and parsley)

Mixed Leaf (Orache and parsley)

A mixed bunch of a variety of colours of Orache and Parsley.

Orache is an impressive plant, also known as mountain spinach, it is thought that it was one of the first vegetables to be cultivated by humans. The leaves and also seeds are edible, being a great source of vitamins - such as vitamin A and C.

In terms of its resilience - it seems to thrive even through drought and provides a great substitute for spinach. If you wish to grow your own - it can become quite invasive - as it grows so readily, so sow it in corners dedicated to 'wilder' plants.

Suggested use:

Wash well before use

Sautee gently in butter or olive oil until softened and eat as a leafy vegetable serving
