In my top 5 wild foods!! Rock samphire is an incredible aromatic, mildly salty, juicy succulent that is equally at home as a steamed side vegetable, as it is raw in a salad.
Wash well before use
Best consumed raw to appreciate the texture and flavour.
If you want to cook it then steam gently for 5-10mins, if you want to enhance the flavour further drizzle with garlic butter or olive oil before serving.
Pull individual 'fingers' off and scatter through a salad mix, or put them in their own bowl and let dinner guests nibble on them as a conversation starter at the table!
