Pennywort

Pennywort

This crisp and juicy leaf makes a wonderful addition to salads, side vegetable servings or simply as an interesting and 'different' snack when you're on the go. It is included in the same bag as the stonecrop if you have just received the November 2022 box.

Wash well before use

Suggested uses:

Can be eaten raw or cooked

Salad: sprinkle with the accompanying stonecrop leaves (in November's biome box) onto a salad.

Garnish: sprinkle liberally onto cooked meals to give a unique and interesting 'edge' to meals. Goes well with all meats and fish.

Vegetable: sauté gently in butter or olive oil with some sea salt to taste, until just beginning to soften, serve immediately as a side vegetable.
