Broad Beans

Broad Beans

Hand grown and supplied by the humble Andy Pearman from his market garden, where he has been practising leading edge 'no dig' agroecological practices for over 7 years. The produce is watered by rain and natural spring water - no tap water in sight!

Suggested uses:

Wash well before use

Cook before consumption

Remove the beans from the pods and add the pods to the compost heap, or dig them into your soil to feed the worms!!

Basic cooking instructions:

Serves 2 people

Boil the beans in salted water for 15-20minutes and serve as a vegetable.

For those who want a bit of spice

Once the beans are cooked add a generous amount of butter, or olive oil, before mixing with finely chopped raw garlic, chilli, ginger and salad onions, with a sprinkling of ground black pepper.
