Allan and Sue Miller both worked full time as chefs for 20 years and decided to grow produce themselves in a small greenhouse in their back garden to supply the restaurant they worked in.
They recognised that growing produce in soil led to higher quality, more vibrant and tasty produce in their dishes and as a result their cress was soon in demand on a bigger scale. They decided to start growing cress to supply other restaurants and Nurtured in Norfolk was born.
A thriving family business, Nurtured in Norfolk showcases one of the many ways families can make a viable living from growing food. They have since diversified their offering to include many unusual flowers and herbs.
